Fire Emblem is my heart. The first FE: Warriors game is something I can't stop playing. I have several hundred hours in it, and I adore all the characters. Azura, from Fates, and Camilla, are my only two true favorites. Lyndis, Celica, and Tharja are okay, too.

I thought the white and purple skull kid was a reference to the moon children from MM. they all have outfits with a similar color scheme.

Binding Blade Maps are an interesting point as I do think it has some of the best maps in the series and some of the absolute worst. Western Isles maps are so damn good and then we have crap like the sinking water temple, Sacre, and Distance Status Magic. You never know what you are going to get which at least makes this game fairly memorable from a gameplay perspective.

Wished Guinivere was playable as a unit and was a bit more interactive in the story, so it did not come down to the Roy & Merlinus shit show in most cutscenes. Guin as a proper, unique light magic user come chapter 3 would have been very welcome and several media portray Guin as the rightful user of the legendary Aureola tome that, due to the way characters are handed out, will likely never see any use since FE 6 is very stingy with light magic users, with Saul and Elen likely not reaching S rank due to gaining access only on promotion and Yoder coming too late. And Marcus and especially Lilina also deserved a lot better from the story department then what they got, with Marcus getting only one glorious line and Lilina disappearing after chapter 8 completly. In that sense, FE 7 showed a tremendous step forward, giving plenty of characters time in the story spotlight, like Matthew & Leila, Oswin in Hector mode, the whole Nino story and so on...

If Fates is ever remade, I wouldn't mind them rewriting the story to make it a lot more palatable

I never liked Dynasty Warriors from the 2 games I've tried, but the character switching/commanding and of course Zelda verse theme have made me want to give this a shot! Seems like a lot of fun 😊

I like that this game rewards you with broken units if you plan right. I only put that effort into donnel and.. uh... armsthrift killing edge with max luck meant that, as long as he was paired with Chrom, I wasn't losing. Definitely not something that should be in every game, but a fitting last hurrah. No restraint needed for the final entry, after all. I like how fair your retrospectives are, and that you admit your bias, so, amazing work!

I love this story. Hector shoulders so much. I ship him and Lyn every playthrough without fail too.

I got back into this game a short while ago and was so hooked that I played several 5-6 hour sessions day by day and during that time I noticed something that might help with the whole "long running game time will cause glitches and crashes" thing. Whenever I saw visual errors starting to happen, there was always one elemtn first that started acting up: I could see HP bars through the walls. THe game still ran fine except for some shifting floor textures where different maps overlapped, but the HP bars were always the first visual bug I found. So just to make sure I'd advise anyone who wants to get into this game to pay attention to the HP bars and when you start seeing them where you're not supposed to, just finish your run and restart the game.

Enjoyed playing Fates a lot but I agree with everyone about the story not being so great and could have been better. Now I just realized that it’s a bit hard to imagine if Three Houses split into SEPARATE games, like Black Eagles, Blue Lions, and Golden Deer (because splitting more of Black Eagles into Silver Snow and Crimson Flower would just be too much haha)

I personally would've loved if Linkle's Strong attack allowed her to charge forward in a line until either the player cancels it or she hits a wall. That alone would amplify the boots' value by at least 30%.

Seeing as Marin was the reason I bought this game in the first place (They really pulled from EVERYWHERE, didn't they? XD), I'm glad to see that she made it onto the list. <3 It's also cool to see Twili Midna, here, as she is another favorite of mine.

As a man who rather enjoys Zelda and her baton (no giggity), yeah, I gotta agree, it's not very good. I don't typically prefer using anything stronger than the second combo. Also, interesting that Lana's on here, but it's not the gate like I was expecting (I guess the slow attack speed is worth it?).

I love Fire Emblem Three Houses its easily my favorite Switch game, its not perfect there are some small nit picks i have but they are very minor to a all around great game

I really love shadow dragon, to the point it colored my fire emblemeste world. The best way to play, in my opinion, is the mod that unlocks the extra content without having to juggle the generic replacement system. Within reason. Also, all Marth needed to keep everyone alive from the start was to have a mage with Excalibur!

When I originally played Binding Blade, it was right after I had gotten into the series in 2014 via the GBA titles.. I loved FE7 and Sacred Stones SO much, but binding blade just felt very frustrating and unfair. I never even got the 'good' ending because I didn't collect all of the relic weapons. I went back and played it again around 2018 (at that point I had played and beaten every game but gaiden and thracia) and fell utterly in love with it. Collecting all of the relic weapons is especially a really fun time, trying to efficiently conserve their uses while dishing them out against tougher foes adds a special depth to the gameplay I feel is missed in a lot of the other games. Story isn't anything to write home about but fighting and overcoming Zephiel at the end feels so rewarding, especially on hard mode. All of your scrappy, inexperienced soldiers turning into efficient toolboxes is so fun. It really is the peak of GBA era fire emblem.
